If only the skull beneath the skin could tell a story of how this ram met its demise. Charred in the remnants of wildfire and stinging nettle. A harsh life, accompanied by bugling elk & rattling tails. Perhaps his only intention was to drink from the roaring river below, and instead, he may have met an elusive predator in an area with evidence of teeth within the muzzle. This ram has now become immortal in my memories and the art it inspires.
